- Grace Lodge began as the Marshall-Lodge Hospital, Lynchburg's first hospital, in the home of S.W. McCorkle
- In 1921, prominent Lynchburg architects Craighill and Cardwell, built the impressive 3-story neo-classical brick and marble addition fronting Grace Street
- After several updates, it has most recently been used as a nursing home facility but is now vacant
